New York

We met some of my family in New York for the weekend of August 15th (we missed you Ginger, Matt & Madeline!). We did just as much as we possibly could in the short time we were there, including a Yankees game, visiting a good friend (Elizabeth), China town, Little Italy, a broadway show (Wicked, which was amazing by the way!), the empire state building (well, some of us), street vendor food (lol), and a limo tour. It was a great trip!

Ok, i did find one thing slightly disappointing about the great city of New York! Yankees stadium only has 1 concession stand that sells nachos! Can you believe it? If you know me well, you know I have a slight obsession with nachos and i guess that's what's great about living in Texas. So Demery and I went on the look out. We literally walked all over that stadium, covering every floor. Then finally, we spotted the lone Mexican concession stand with the ridiculous line. Demery was patient enough to wait with me in the 30 minute line. Were they worth the wait? Absolutely, although i was a little dissapointed they didn't serve them with jalapenos!

Costa Rica

Camilo, his mom, me and my mom traveled to Costa Rica during the month of July. This trip was particularly significant because it was the first time our mothers met!

Costa Rica was more beautiful than i had imagined, especially the areas that were near the beach, the volcanoes and the many rainforests. We did go during the rainy season though so the afternoon and evening thunderstorms took some getting used to.
