The past month...

To say so much has happened over the last month is putting it lightly! I have posted many pictures with updates on us. First of all on July 4th, Luke left for Quantico for 5 months of FBI training. We are so proud of him and he is doing great! Later that same morning Ginger had her baby girl, Ella. She is too cute and i hear she is very sweet! I hope to meet her very soon!

We had our first baby shower July 11th. It was hosted by Chris Emery and Lana Estess. Everything was so perfect and we had such a good time celebrating!

Camilo took it upon himself to install an over the range microwave. I had major doubts about this project but he assured me he could do it. After 3 days, here is the final product. He did such a good job and it will save us some much needed counter space.

On July 23rd my Affiniscape friends gave me a shower. We had such a good time! i will definitely miss not seeing my friends at Affiniscape!

At the end of July, Camilo suddenly came down with the H1N1 flu, otherwise known as the swine flu. This definitely scared us both because by the time we found out what he had, i had already been exposed for 5 days. My mom immediately came into town to help me take care of him. We stayed in a hotel down the street for the first 3 nights and then she disinfected our house so that it was safe for me to live in again.  I am so thankful i didn't get the flu at this late date in my pregnancy and i am so thankful for my mother coming all the way to Austin to help take care of Camilo! He is all better now, just in time for Camilito's arrival which is next week!

Also, August 7th was my nephew, Cole's, 1st birthday! I don't have any pictures of his party yet but when i do i will be sure to post those. Hate i missed it!

Things are good here in Austin but it is so hot! I am not typically one to complain of the heat but it is really starting to get to me this summer! I decided to make some cookies this past Sunday afternoon right in the heat of the day. Big mistake! That oven warmed up the entire house! I love chocolate chip cookies but I don’t know if those cookies were worth the near meltdown I had because of the heat.

Here are a few photos from the last few weeks. The first one was taken 2 weekends ago. That is my cousin Laura (and her little girl, Joci) who also has a little boy due September 26th. The photo below is me at 32 weeks.

I wanted to put a few pictures up from the last several weeks. The first one is from when I was home for the long Memorial Day weekend. It was a good trip home, aside from the little medical issue. I won’t mention that here though. That was my last trip until Thanksgiving! Seems like a long time! The next pictures were taken just this past weekend. Camilo and I drove down to San Antonio to see Wicked and along the way we stopped in Gruene, TX, a really cute little town, and had lunch by the Guadalupe River at the Grist Mill. The food was very mediocre but it was a beautiful day to sit by the river and relax. The show of course, was great!!! I think Camilo even enjoyed it!

And after much debate, I decided that I didn’t like the original bedding that I had bought for the nursery so I packed it up and took it back and bought the one I originally wanted. I have added some pictures. It’s so cute!!! I can’t wait to accessorize.

Our crib finally arrived so Camilo was excited to put it together over the weekend! We are very happy with the way it turned out! Now we can officially start decorating the nursery! Here are a few pictures:

It's a boy!

As everyone probably knows, we are expecting a boy and we are very excited about it! His name of course will be Camilo! Hehe! My crib finally came in so it looks like we will be able to start putting the nursery together very soon. A lot has happened over the last 6 weeks. Camilo and I went to El Paso to visit my Dad’s family for a weekend. We had such a good time visiting and meeting Rachel & Will's new baby boy, Nicolas! Then we went to MS to visit my family. Ginger is also pregnant, due July 1st, so we got some belly shots of the both of us. Also, I got a few pics of my niece (Madeline) and nephew (Cole). The following weekend we went to Honduras to visit Camilo’s family. I ate like I good pregnant girl should. Camilo’s Mom made an abundance of tortillas, beans, plantains, grape leaves, fish and all the fruit and fruit juice you could ever dream of consuming! I definitely enjoyed myself, maybe a little too much! :) We colored Easter Eggs and did an Easter Egg hunt for some of Camilo’s cousins on Easter Sunday. Most of them had never done an egg hunt before so we had a lot of fun showing them what to do!

I'm pregnant!

Ok, it's been a while since i have updated my blog so anyone reading this probably already knows that i'm 17 weeks pregnant and am due August 21st! We had a little complication in the beginning but since then things have been going great! I am posting some pictures from the last couple of weeks so that you can see the progress so far!  We will be going in for our big sonogram in less than 2 weeks so we will know soon if it is a boy or a girl!
